What are we working on.. ?

Filed under: APM — Developer @ 12:28 pm

We just signed off our new release, everything is looking good in upcoming release. We fixed lot of annoying bugs and added handful of features as well which will save your time working on APM projects (My personal favorite is, searching resources in search-as-you-type manner, it has made resource assignment so easy, I love playing with it.. Happy) Thanks to everybody who submitted feature request, we always look for your precious feedback, because we care for our Customers.

Now, is the time to sit and decide what will go in next release. I would like to inform you that we are in design-incubation phase of a very very exciting feature (I would say a module).

APM as we call him, (Action Project Manager) is meant for better Management, but now, we are thinking about Synchronization and Team-work. Many of our customers are from a Multi-National company where projects are handled by many people in a team. We found that customers are facing difficulties while modifying any property of a project or task and informing other team members about it. Say for example, Person A and Person B has modified the project on their end, they have to sync their APM file manually. And if they have done huge modification, its tedious to sync (almost impossible, I agree)

So, we are designing an architecture right now to solve this issue. An ideal outcome of this would be that all team members would continue working on APM file (while connected to network/while being offline) and APM will keep track of all the changes being done by all team members (especially who are connected to network), APM will notify user of any change done by other team members and let user seamlessly reload their APM file.

The main reason of writing this blog post is, as we are still in design phase, we will be able to accommodate your asks/feedback in more efficient way. So, if you have any good idea or ask about Synchronization of APM files (while working with multiple team members), please leave a comment, we will contact you if we require more information. So, right now is the time to let us know what you want, just drop us a line.

Stay tuned.. Wave
